It's *kind of a period tracker
We built a symptom tracker rather than a period tracker...
The Samphire app helps you track your cycle in detail and learn what's normal for you by breaking down each phase and providing education around what to expect.
We provide you with phase insights for your symptoms, including your sleep and activity statistics with Apple or Google Health wearables. By monitoring changes over time, you’ll gain a better understanding of your unique patterns and how they affect your body and mind.
Knowing which phase of your cycle you're in can also help you set fitness, lifestyle, social, and nutrition goals that feel empowering and realistic for both body and mind.
After speaking with thousands of women about their menstrual cycles, we realized most women think their menstrual cycle boils down to one day - the start of their period.
However, we know that real experiences are not that clear-cut - there are a range of symptoms that will define your own individual cycle phases: the menstrual phase, the follicular phase, the ovulation phase, and the luteal phase. We built a symptom rather than a period tracker, to help you learn what your phases mean to you specifically, so that you can be in charge.
We provide you with personalised symptom tracking, so that you can track whatever matters to you, without judgment.
While developing Nettle™, we discovered that many of the women we worked with didn't understand how their menstrual and menopausal cycles impacted their well-being. The science behind their cycles was overlooked while the emotional and physical challenges were downplayed or ignored.
While this highlights the broader and age old failure to prioritise women's health in healthcare — we asked ourselves: how can we build a tool now that equips women with the knowledge of their body needed to make judgement free decisions that feel right for her?
We provide you with phase-specific inspiration and educational content, to be there alongside as you get to know your body - and the science behind it.

"Insane how great this is" · 10 Dec · Pkograd
This app is a game changer. It helps me understand and manage my cycles in ways I didn’t know were possible. I learn more about myself every day.
It’s a personal diary of features that paint a picture of your unique cycle fluctuations, symptoms & patterns, displayed in a way I’ve never seen before in any other app.
This was clearly built by people who have a deep understanding of what women want. Amazing. Highly recommend!

"Amazing App" · 13 Dec · Elida Sari
I’ve downloaded this app because I decided to try Nettle after struggling with PMDD. I was asked by my GP to do a manual tracking for symptoms on paper, which was helpful to see the trends etc. I the. Tried looking up any app that could do the same, have the flexibility of adding unusual symptoms, but couldn’t find any.
Until I accidentally came across this from Nettle and realise the app is as amazing as the product. I can add intensity of each symptom and even add custom symptoms. Emilé is super responsive, kind, empathetic and just overall great!
